The School Nutrition Association of Massachusetts (SNA of Mass) is the Massachusetts Chapter of the School Nutrition Association (SNA), a national, nonprofit professional organization representing 50,000 members who provide high-quality, low-cost meals to students across the country. Recognized as the authority on school nutrition, SNA has been advancing the availability, quality and acceptance of school nutrition programs as an integral part of education since 1946.
All SNA of Mass school nutrition professional memberships are initiated through the national SNA office, opening up a world of national and state-based benefits and connections for our members.

Scholarships
& Grants
Both SNA of Mass and the School Nutrition Foundation (SNF), the charitable arm of SNA, support school nutrition professionals by offering grants and scholarships. Members are offered the opportunity to attend national events such as SNA’s Legislative Action Conference (LAC), School Nutrition Industry Conference (SNIC) and Annual National Conference (ANC), as well as professional development scholarships to further your education and career.

& Networking Events
Being a member keeps you in-the-know about the many opportunities to attend events and to branch out in the field. SNA of Mass Chapters hold Chapter and Director Meetings throughout the year in locations across the state where you can network with your peers. Members get special pricing on all SNA of Mass events, including the USDA Conference & Commodities Show and the Annual Fall Conference. Members also save on all SNA National events, including the Legislative Action Conference, School Nutrition Industry Conference and the Annual National Conference.

The SNA Training Zone offers members access to Live Webinars, On-Demand Webinars and Self-Paced Training. SNA is your number one source for professional development opportunities. From certificate and credentialing programs that cement your authority in the profession to ongoing webinars and other virtual training, SNA has the learning resources you need to thrive as a school nutrition professional. Plus, attendance at SNA of Mass events typically provides additional opportunities for continuing education credits.

Advocacy
As a member of SNA and SNA of Mass, you can stay on top of all the latest happenings in Boston and Washington, D.C. We work to help our members understand the federal and state legislation and policies that shape and impact child nutrition programs and provide opportunities for you to get involved through the SNA of Mass Legislative Committee, the SNA Political Action Committee (PAC), the SNA Action Network and the Legislative Action Conference.

Leadership Opportunities
Membership opens up a world of opportunities for our members to get engaged at the state level on SNA of Mass committees or in board seats, including Chapter Delegates and Chapter Delegates-Elect. SNA of Mass currently has five standing committees including Exhibits, Industry, Member Relations, Nutrition & Legislative and Professional Development. SNA national is always on the lookout for great volunteers for their Committees and Councils, Board of Directors, micro-volunteering and Subject Matter Experts.
